Bats are sanded but not finished or branded. The blemishes with these bats are mainly cosmetic and can range anywhere from, but not limited to, mineral stains, ingrown bark, pin knots, warping, vine tracking, or just cosmetically unsightly in general. It is important to note that these blemishes will not cause the bat to break because of their defects, and that is because the wood is hand split.
